The Team

Asset is owned and operated by Jim Kyros and Paul Cook who have been involved in the Insurance Broking Industry since 1982. Commencing with a small brokerage at Hurstville, it grew into one of the leading Insurance Brokerages in NSW. At the time they sold their shareholding in 2005, the company had 50 employees.

After a short break from the industry and perceiving a need in the market for professional, knowledgeable service and advice, they commenced Asset Insurance Brokers.

Reflecting their long history with the industry, Jim and Paul are well respected and well known throughout the insurance world, developing effective and long-standing relationships with all major Insurers.

We are members of NIBA and Steadfast.

What is NIBA?

National Insurance Brokers Association

Established in 1982, after the amalgamation of earlier Broker associations, the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is the spokesperson of the Insurance Broking Industry, representing the vast majority of all registered Insurance Brokers in Australia.
Significantly, members handle over 90% (around $3billion) of premiums transacted by all Insurance Brokers nationally.

Membership of NIBA is a valued asset, with all applications carefully checked to ensure strict conditions additional to government requirements are met.

To ensure the highest possible standards Asset Insurance Brokers as a member of NIBA is governed by a Code of Conduct and undertakes continuing professional development through the Qualified Practising Insurance broker (QPIB) accreditation programme.
